Not directly – getting into the water and taking measurements. But animals and their habitats are at the forefront of the work I do. Giving advice to industries like oil and gas and offshore renewables telling them how to carry out their activity without harming marine creatures. For example you may be aware that constructing wind farms creates a fair bit of noise, part of my role is to use scientific findings to decide when the noise is too loud and should be reduced, in order to not harm whales and dolphins. So indirectly I do work with animals. Or for the animals.
