Question: How do you make your mini dams?

Good question! It is like a little arts and crafts project making all these dams. I use bits of wooden dowels of different diameters, wood glue and craft wire. I have taken photos of the dams I have seen in rivers and I use those as instructions as to how to build the dams. I usually can build most of them as free standing structures that I can just slot into my experimental river but others I have to construct in the river. I’m not sure if I have described it very well but it is like a mix of building IKEA furniture and being crafty.
