• Question: what is the weirdest animal you have ever found?

      Interesting question — probably something like a Portuguese man o war. Just looking at it, it looks alien, but then understanding is isn’t a single animal but a number, all working together. It has a gas bladder that acts like a sail, allowing it to travel the oceans and then it has it’s powerful sting! It’s just a little bit crazy, weird but cool.

    One of the weirdest ones I have found is a violet oil beetle (Meloe violaceus), as I hadn’t seen one before and couldn’t believe how big it was and how odd it looked with such a large body compared to it’s head!
