I study the chemistry of rocks and waters to understand processes that have helped form the Earth. In my current job, I am exploring for lithium which is an element used in batteries and essential for electric vehicles. Batteries and electric vehicles are some of the essential technologies we need to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions. My company is exploring for the elements that are used in these technologies. This means I spend some time in the field exploring new places and time in the office or lab understanding our findings and looking at data we collect.

My Typical Day:
My days are really varied. I spend some time in the field exploring new places and time in the office or lab understanding our findings and looking at data we collect.
